Nice to get out at the immaculate @warringtongolfclub this evening for a quick impromptu 9 holes with Jnr Fryer AKA @mattfryergolf .
Getting his own back from our last match he chipped my 2 up lead to send me home with my tail between my legs until the next time!!
Nice warm up for a busy week for me, #pgainlancashire event tomorrow @standgolfclub then off to Essex for the Senior @thepga Professional Championships
Looking forward as ever to catching up with ‘old’ pals and hopefully some good golf.

177 years‼️As @thepga Professionals we are blessed to be in a industry where we get to meet and help so many interesting people along the journey of enjoying and playing better golf.
Today alongside coaching ‘young’ folk I was able to assist two former low single golfers who’s ages totalled 177 years🚨
It’s absolutely brilliant these ‘students’ I’ve coached for over 30+ years still have the drive and passion to get better 🙏Even managed to enjoy a little virtual golf on our superb @toptracer @liverpoolgolfcentre taking on a spritely 90yr old over the @thehomeofgolf Old Course!

Congratulations to #lancsgolfunion and @southport_and_ainsdale_golf + 5 h’cp young man @jack.mc8 on his Victory yesterday winning the historic and prestigious Henriques Trophy @heskethgolfclub
After finishing runner up here in 2022 and letting a good scoring round slip from his grasp last week at the #LythamTrophy Jack showed the necessary resilience to bounce back with an emphatic -6 total and 3 shot Victory yesterday.
Great scoring and win in this Northern OOM Amateur event, but more importantly a good springboard heading into the Irish Amateur Championship, The Brabazon, Scots Am and Links Trophy.
Classy scoring from a classy young guy! Onward!👊💪🏆👌⛳️🏌️‍♂️

Absolute pleasure to play @royallythamgolf yesterday. Kindly invited by scratch man #timfish Good game catching up with Asst @thepga Professional @etha.ndaviesgolfcoach_ along with my partner Shaun B.
The course was as magnificent as ever having just hosted the prestigious #LythamTrophy A joy to stride the fairways so many great champions have before, from Harold Hilton, Bobby Jones through the centuries to #Seve and @ernieelsgolf The course is always a stern test, even on a calm day like yesterday. Alongside all the heritage and tradition the club retains it’s just brilliant to see the collection of the most historic moments in golf and artefacts of the game from the greatest amateurs to Professionals.
Thanks for a very warm welcome from everyone @royallythamprofessionalshop ,the clubhouse, starter and look forward to the next time.👌⛳️🏌️🇬🇧

Solid Golf with Adrian Fryer is at Liverpool Golf Centre & Driving Range.

Just over a week ago it was a great honour and privilege to be invited back to @ringwaygolfclub Annual men’s dinner last week but moreover to help them celebrate their recent victory in winning the Manchester & District Golf Alliance prestigious 2024 Dunham Forest Trophy.The kind invitation from the club President Patrick Air was to recognise the historic victory some 43 years since their first wining the Trophy in which as Assistant Professional I represented the club along with its six lowest handicap players.Playing with President Patrick, we represented the original 81’ team against the Club Captain Ian Rankin and Pro representative Ben Staniforth who’s Grandfather Stephen was one of my team mates! Along with several members connected with the 81’ team we enjoyed several 4 ball matches against the current squad.A great time was had by all and particularly pleasing for me to enjoy the course and catch with and celebrate at the men’s annual dinner up with some of the original squad. David, Richard and Albert all 88 years young! and Tom a mere 63! Lovely to reminisce but also great to see the current team enjoy their prestigious victory.It was also nice to catch up with my second former boss and head professional Nick Ryan, Nick was a brilliant mentor to me as well as being a genuine first class @thepga Professional and great servant to the club for many years.Also managed to dig out some old memorabilia too of the 1979 club’s successful Pro Am event with so many legendary @thepga pros competing for the £150 first prize! and Ford Escort car for a hole in one!Great club, great day and long last memories.
